CrossFit is more than just an effective way to workout and get in shape. It is a way of living life to be your best. This includes training your body mentally and physically, as well as eating appropriately to sustain an active lifestyle. The founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman, used this definition to define CrossFit: “CrossFit is an effective fitness program consisting of constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity”.
On Ramp is required for those who have less than one month of CrossFit experience. The emphasis of On Ramp is on skill development and exposure to basic CrossFit movements. We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity. We do this through one-on-one sessions to ensure you get the most out of the course. We are going to be hammering technique — both to ensure your safety — and success in group classes. There will be a workout at the end of each session, which will get progressively more challenging as the course progresses. We have two On Ramp packages - Basic and Gold
The Gold On Ramp package consists of four sessions covering all fundamental CrossFit movements. It also includes a customized nutrition plan to get you started on the right track. From the Gold On Ramp you would normally progress to the wellness membership to ensure that your nutrition stays on course.
The Basic On Ramp package consists of two sessions covering the basic CrossFit barbell movements. It also includes Nutrition 101 covering fundamental nutrition information and practices, and includes a sample meal plan.
Who Is CrossFit For?
The best part about CrossFit is that it is designed to be universally scaleable. This makes CrossFit the perfect fitness program for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Every person needs some sort of physical capacity, whether it be to compete in sports, to serve and protect, or to carry groceries into the house. Our soldiers, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
